I tried, I really did try...

Sometimes you just have to give in to creative impulses. I tried to keep plugging away at all my summery yarn projects and then Stephen West pops up on Ravelry and then again on Craftsy (he has a class on Shawls there!!) and I couldn't resist the urge to start drooling over his designs (WestKnits).

And, as if that wasn't enough, the Malabrigo Rios (very practical but lovely hand dyed  superwash) just kept staring at me like there was something wrong with me for not immediately grabbing it and casting on The Boneyard Shawl.  So, well I guess you know what I did... and here is the unadulterated proof, in the Candombe color way.  West Knits FREE pattern for the Boneyard Shawl can be found on Ravelry, along with lots more Stephen West designs!

They say recognizing and admitting your problem is the best way to begin dealing with it.  I really don't think that is working in my case. :), and when it comes to fiber I wouldn't want it any other way.

Happy Knitting!

  1. We must be on the same wavelength today. I was just thinking about this colorway and making a mental note to grab a skein when I am next at your shop. I also have been thinking about Stephen West patterns within the last two days. I look forward to seeing your shawl!
